Our Story
A Private Bali, Since 2012
MERU was founded in 2012 with deep roots in Bali and a single conviction: that the island rewards travelers who arrive privately. For more than a decade we have curated bespoke journeys for international guests who want Bali entirely to themselves, no group tours, no fixed templates.
Our philosophy is one of restraint. We take fewer guests so we can go deeper for each: vetting every villa, reserving the tables worth keeping, and pairing each party with a dedicated driver and concierge who stay with them throughout. The result is a way of travelling that feels less like a booking and more like having a trusted friend on the island.
